Check-in kiosks - frequently asked questions
Why should I insert my credit card in to the kiosk when I did not use it to pay my trip?
The kiosk uses the credit card only to identify the person. The credit card will not be used in confirming the payment nor will any fees be charged on it.
Can the kiosk swallow the card?
No. The card is only partly inserted.
What type of a boarding pass will l be printed? How should I proceed?
The kiosk will print out one boarding pass with a bar code on a 8cm-wide thermal paper. Show the print-out to your airline staff member at the baggage drop and at the gate when you board the aircraft.
Can I check-in at the kiosk if I also have baggage to check-in?
Yes. In the end of the check-in process, the kiosk will tell passengers to take their luggage to the airline’s baggage drop desk and tells at which Departure Hall the desk is located.
Will the kiosk print out a baggage tag?
The kiosk will print out a baggage tag on Finnair, Finncomm, SAS, Blue1, Air Baltic, Austrian Airlines and Cimber Air flights. Baggage receipts on flights operated by other airlines will be printed out at the baggage drop desk.
What do I do at the airport if the kiosks are out of service?
Even if there is a break in an airline’s service, the kiosks let you access other airlines’ check-in systems. Check-in can still be done at the airlines’ check-in desk.
