Assistance service
Special needs, such as use of wheelchair or oxygen equipment should be mentioned already when booking the trip or at least 48 hours before the flight.
Arrival must be announced as soon as the passenger arrives at the Helsinki Airport. The call points are located near the disabled parking spaces and at the public transportation service and the taxi stands in front of the terminals. The call point phones are a direct link to the assistance service.
Arrival can be announced also at check-in.
Once the call has been received, a trained assistant will be dispatched to help the passenger at check-in, security check and the gate area until the passenger is safely in the seat of the aircraft.
The assistance service is intended to help passengers with restricted mobility due to a physical injury or disability or a visual or hearing impairment. The service is also available to the elderly, those with temporarily limited mobility or anyone requiring special assistance. The assistance service is free of charge.
