More connections from Helsinki to Europe next spring
Helsinki Airport's connections to Europe are to improve next spring as Norwegian, Estonian Air and Lufthansa introduce new routes. Getting to Estonia from Helsinki by air is once again convenient, when Estonian Air reopens its route between Tallinn and Helsinki, with 18 weekly fights starting from 26 March 2012. Estonian Air will serve the route with three daily flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with daily flights on Saturdays and double daily flights on Sundays. Later in the spring, Norwegian is launching routes from Helsinki to Paris, Palma/Mallorca, Rhodes and Corfu. After new route openings, Norwegian flies to 21 destinations from Helsinki. In addition to other new routes from Helsinki and other Nordic cities, Norwegian is increasing the capacity on its most popular routes. This applies particularly to Mediterranean destinations. Lufthansa begins daily flights from Helsinki to Dusseldorf end of March and to the new Berlin-Brandenburg Willy Brandt airport after its opening in June 3. Lufthansa flies between Berlin and Helsinki every morning. The flights are operated together with Blue1. Finnair and Air Berlin also operate direct flights between Helsinki and Berlin. |
