More flights from Helsinki to German destinations this autumn and winter

Blue1's first Boeing 717 passenger jet made its first commercial run on Sunday, 5 September from Helsinki to Copenhagen. With the introduction of the Boeing 717, Blue1 is updating the look of its fleet.

Flight service between Helsinki and Central Europe will see a significant improvement this autumn and winter, particularly with service to Germany.

In mid-August Finnair opened a new route to Stuttgart, offering daily flights. Blue1 began service to Munich on 13 September. Blue1 offers one flight a day on its new Boeing 717 aircraft. Finnair, Lufthansa and SAS also offer daily flights from Helsinki to Munich.

Germany's second largest airline, Air Berlin and Finnair will begin a codeshare agreement in November. This will open a large number of fast, new connections from Central Europe to Asia via Helsinki as well as from Helsinki to the Mediterranean.

In January Blue1 opened another new route to Amsterdam. Daily, non-stop flight service will begin on 31 January. Blue1 will also add a new morning run to Paris on 31 January. Non-stop service to Amsterdam is also offered by KLM and Finnair, and to Paris by Finnair and easyJet.
