The Globe Hope pop-up store provides ecological design

Globe Hope, known by its ecological, ethical and aesthetic products, is the newest pop-up store at Helsinki Airport. You should hurry up because the store will only operate at the airport from the start of February until the end of April.

Globe Hope's products are made of recycled materials and they are a clever combination of design and environmental friendliness.

The most interesting products include bags, pen holders and stylish clothing made of military sacks and tent fabric. Globe Hope's mittens have practical holes for index fingers so that you can write your SMS messages in cold weather, too.

Used advertisement material becomes design at Globe Hope. Computer protectors and bags, made of the massive advertisement hood on the Olympic Stadium's tower, are a specialty of the store at the airport.

"We use circuit boards, LP records, zippers and computer keyboard keys to make jewellery, key chains and magnets," says Seija Lukkala, the founder of Globe Hope.

Products of the popular Globe Hope are also available in the Finnair tax-free shop where the selection is slightly smaller than that at the pop-up store. Products made of old work clothing of Finnair air crews, and airplane seat belts, are fun souvenirs.

Globe Hope has received many awards for its contribution to ecological fashion and design. Globe Hope products are sold throughout Europe and in Japan.
