Work on the Ring Rail Line begun in various parts of the airport
In 2014 a high-speed rail link to Helsinki Airport will be opened. The rail link connects the northern main line and western Martinlaakso lines The airport station will be constructed underground between Terminals 1 and 2.
Surface construction began at Helsinki Airport in December 2009. Work will be done in phases simultaneously at several different sites throughout the airport area.
Visitors arriving at the airport in their own car should be prepared for changes to driving routes. Excavation work may also cause brief traffic stops (a few minutes in duration) in front of car parks P1 and P2.
In April 2010 construction on the train station entrance will begin between the connecting corridor and car park.
